iPad4をiOS10.1にアップデートしてみた （I tried to update the iPad4 to iOS10.1）
Appleから9月14日にiOS10がリリースされました。
（iOS10 was released on September 14, from Apple.）
それから1ヶ月。
（Then one month.）
2016年10月25日、iOS10.1がリリースされました。
（October 25, 2016, iOS10.1 has been released.）
最近、Appleのアップデートはサイクルが早いですね。
（Recently, I Apple's update is a cycle early.）
もう、試してみましたか？

今回のアップデートでは、iPhone7/iPhone7 Plusの機能追加がメインです。
（In this update, is a function additional iPhone7 / iPhone7 Plus the main.）
Apple Pay、ポートレートカメラ機能が追加されています。
（Apple Pay, portrait camera function has been added.）
それ以外のデバイスでも、セキュリティの向上、交通機関の経路／料金検索機能、不具合の修正が追加されています。

アップデートのリリース後は不具合が発見されることがありますので、しばらく様子を見ている人も多いと思いますが、このブログでは人柱となってアップデートしてみました。

使ったデバイスは、中古で購入したiPad4です。

アップデートするときは、OTAは失敗しやすいと言われていますが、敢えてOTAでやってみます。

iTunesは嫌いなので・・・

でも、アップデート前にバックアップは取っておきましょう！！

取らなかったけど・・・（面倒だから）

設定->一般->ソフトウェアアップデートで「ダウンロードとインストール」を選択します。
（Settings -> General -> select the "download and install" in software update.）
必要なストレージ容量は92.6MBでした。
（The required storage capacity was 92.6MB.）
ダウンロードとインストールにはそれなりに時間が掛かります。
（The download and installation will take time in its own way.）
十分に充電して、時間のあるときにやりましょう！！

画面が真っ暗になっても、そのまま放置しましょう。
（Also, the screen goes dark, let as it is allowed to stand.）
焦って再起動してはダメですよ！！

心配なときは、ホームボタンを1回押してみましょう。
（When anxious, let's press once the home button.）
それで画面が表示されなかったら、そのまま放置です。

多分、iPad4の中の人が、一生懸命働いています。

リンゴマークにプログレスバーが表示されている画面でも、止まっているように見えますが、それでも我慢です。

放置していれば、自動的にインストールは完了します。
（If allowed to stand, automatically install is complete.）
私の環境では、OTAでも無事にインストールはできました。
（In my environment, I was able to successfully install any OTA.）
インストールが完了すると、再設定が必要です。
（When the installation is complete, re-setting is required.）
「続ける」をタッチします。
（Touch the "Continue".）
位置情報サービスを設定します。
（It sets the position information service.）
パスコードを設定します。
（Set a passcode.）
Apple IDのパスワードを入力します。
（Enter the password for the Apple ID.）
「iCloud設定をアップデート中」と表示されるので、待ちます。

Siriを設定します。
（Set the Siri.）
さあ、はじめよう！

これでアップデートは完了です。
（This completes the update.）
アップデート後も、動作は遅くなっていません。

また、私の使っている環境では、使えなくなったアプリもありませんでした。

iPad4は次の大型アップデートからは、対象外になると思います。

アップデートをやらないとしつこく聞いてきますので、覚悟を決めてアップデートしてみませんか？
