Google Chromeをインストールするときの注意点 （Notes When you install Google Chrome）

Google Chrome（以下Chrome）を愛用していることは、以前のブログでご紹介しましたが、実は注意点があります。

WindowsでChromeをインストールするとき、どのようにしていますか？

大体の人は、画面にこのような表示があって、それをクリックしているのではないでしょうか？

そのままクリックすると、インストールは完了します。

あなたが使っているWindowsパソコンは、32bitですか？

それとも64bitですか？

WindowsパソコンにはCPUの動作処理環境として、32bitと64bitがあります。

64bitは使用できるメモリーの容量が多くて、32bitより快適に動作します。

あなたのパソコンのスペックを知るには、コントロールパネルからシステムを選択すると、下記のような情報が表示されます。

赤線で囲ったところを見ると、32bitなのか64bitなのかが分かります。
（If you look at the place where it was surrounded by a red line, you know that whether 64bit of the 32bit is.）
では、それがどうしたと言うのでしょうか？

実は、64bitのパソコンに32bitのChromeをインストールすると、本来のパフォーマンスが発揮されません。

逆に動作が遅くなることもあります。

あなたがChromeを使っていて（または過去に使っていて）、何か快適ではないな〜と感じていたら、システム情報を確認してみてください。

では、インストールしてあるChromeはどうやって確認するのか？
（So, do you want to check doing what is installed Chrome?）
それは、Chromeを起動した状態で、ctrlキー+altキー+delキーを押します。
（It is, in a state that launched the Chrome, press the ctrl key + alt key + del key.）
タスクマネージャーを選択し、画面にこのように表示されていれば、インストールされているChromeは32bitです。

64bitがインストールされていると、このように表示されます。

尚、32bitパソコンには、64bitのChromeはインストールできません。

さて、ここまでであなたのパソコンが64bitなのに、32bitのChromeがインストールされている場合、あらたに64bitのChromeをインストールする必要があります。

１．インストールされているChromeをアンインストールする。

コントロールパネルから、プログラムのアンインストールを選択します。

Chromeを選択して、アンインストールします。
（Select the Chrome, you can uninstall.）
Chromeの情報はGoogleアカウントに保存されていますので、バックアップは不要です。

次に再インストールしたときにサインインすると、前の情報がそのまま復元されます。
（When you sign-in when you reinstall then, before the information is directly restored.）
２．64bitのChromeをインストールします。
（2. It will install the Chrome of 64bit.）
まずは普通にChromeをインストールする方法を選択します。
（First of all choose how to normally install the Chrome.）
Googleのホームページからインストールできます。
（You can be installed from the Google home page.）
ここで選択されるのは32bit版です。
（It is 32bit version being selected here.）
「別のプラットフォーム向けの Chrome をダウンロード」をクリックして、64bitを選択します。
（Click "Download Chrome for another platform", and then select the 64bit.）
これで64bitのChromeがインストールされます。
（This 64bit of Chrome will be installed in.）
今までChromeを使っていて動作が重く感じていた人は、これで改善されることがありますので、ぜひお試しください。

それにしても、標準でインストールされるのが32bitになるのはなんとかならないのでしょうか？
