東芝の不正会計問題で、延期されていた決算発表が、さらに延期されました。
（More postponed profit announcement was postponed because of an accounting fraud problem of Toshiba.）
不正会計が発覚したから調査のために延期する。
（Because accounting fraud was detected, it's postponed for an investigation.）
これは発生してしまった問題に対して、事実確認、問題を明確にするためには必要なことだと思います。
（I think it's a necessary thing to check this actually to the problem which has occurred and make the point clear.）
そして、期日を決めて有言実行。
（A fixed date is decided, and, "I do what I say."）
期日である８月３１日。
（August 31 which is a fixed date.）

東芝の驚くような発表。
（The announcement at which Toshiba is surprised.）
理由は、内部通報が相次いでおり、再調査が必要となったため。
（The inner report is successive to a reason, because reinvestigation was needed.）
再調査は何か月前からやっていたのでしょうか？
（From how many months ago was it being reinvestigated?）
決算発表直前で、内部通報が激増したのでしょうか？
（Did the inner report increase sharply just before the profit announcement?）
それならそれで、余程、社内に恨みを買っているのでは？
（Would you make an enemy in the inside of the company very much with that then?）
故意に決算発表を遅らせて、東芝を潰してしまおうと考えている社員が居るとすれば、直前での内部通報もあるかも知れません。
（When there is a staff thinking profit announcement will be delayed, and crushes Toshiba intentionally, just before, there may be also inner report.）
でも、その人たちも、職を失うことになります。
（But the people will lose work, too.）
同じ内部通報でも、この機会にすべての膿を出し切ってしまおうと考える社員なら、居るかも知れません。
（The staff who thinks even the same inner report will exhaust all pus this chance may be here.）
それなら、直前ではなく、事前に通報するのでは？
（In that case when is it reported to advance, not just before?）
実は、内部通報はもっと早い段階からあったと言われています。
（Well, it's said that there was inner report from the earlier stage.）
結局、調査が遅く、直前での決算発表の再延期となったようです。

東芝は、「汚名に泥を塗る」、「汚名を盛る」と言う、もっとも斬新なパフォーマンスをやってしまいました。

なかなか勇気のいる行為ですね。
（It's the act for which the courage is quite necessary, isn't it?）
今、一生懸命、坂を転がり落ちているところでしょうか？

東芝にはもっと清楚なイメージがありましたが、実態はこんな企業だったようですね。
（There were more neat images in Toshiba, but the reality seems to have been such enterprise, doesn't it?）
次の期限は９月７日。

室町社長は、ここで決算発表ができなければ、進退問題も考えるとのこと。

随分、早い決断ですが、辞めたいの？

もともとやりたくはなかったようですが、裏で動いている老人が、操作をしているようです。

一切のしがらみをなくして、もっと自由に動けるようにしてあげないと、きっと何も変わらないでしょう。

信頼の回復なんて、当分先のことです。
（A recovery of trust is the previous thing for the time being.）
あまり先々のことまで考えずに、今すぐに必要なことを、今すぐやることが必要ではないでしょうか？
（Without thinking to the places, isn't it too necessary to do a necessary thing right now right now?）
これ以上の失態は、日本のイメージが悪くなります。
（Any more blunder comes to make a Japanese bad impression.）
いつまでも、「東芝は潰れない」、「国が守ってくれる」などと甘えずに、自力再生を考えて欲しいものです。
（The etc. "a country protects" and something I want to consider revival of efforts without fawning, "Toshiba doesn't lose" forever.）
